The Urban Ocean program was created to bring together urban and ocean practitioners, leveraging peer-to-peer learning and championing circular economy principles. The program has 11 Urban Ocean cities across ASEAN, India, and Latin America.

Over the past two years, Urban Ocean cities completed gap assessments and capacity-building sessions to identify and formulate the best project opportunities to implement locally. In April 2022, the Urban Ocean Accelerator Summit will bring cities and partners together to exchange knowledge and allow the cities to present their projects to potential partners and funders. 

This Circularity Networking Session will help build awareness of ocean pollution in urban areas in support of the Urban Ocean program, with the ultimate aim to build clean, healthy cities for clean, healthy seas.
