School of Tomorrow (Term 2)

From ABCs to complex topics, school equips us with valuable knowledge and life skills, so why should it not also prepare us for the greatest challenge of our time: protecting the health of our planet? Join us at this innovative exhibition back for its second term by Kinetic Singapore with its well-loved ‘classes’ that spotlight environmental issues in fresh ways, along with a new topic in partnership with Temasek Shophouse – History Class.

There are free guided tours led by ‘class monitors’ to provide visitors with a deeper understanding of the environmental issues.

Fireside Chats
As an extension of the History Class, Temasek Shophouse will organise two free fireside chats open to public that explore the interconnected topics of conservation and sustainability.
Fireside Chat 1: Conservation Conversations
Delve into the restoration of a row of 100-year-old shophouses in Orchard Road to preserve Singapore's heritage for future generations.
Conservation Conversations will feature Ho Weng Hin, cofounder of Studio Lapis and Jerome Lim, author of The Long and Winding Road. The panel will delve into the challenges and opportunities of restoring a row of 100-year-old conserved shophouses amid the broader conservation landscape in Singapore.
Hear them share personal anecdotes and hidden stories from projects like Temasek Shophouse, and witness first-hand how they are laying the groundwork for sensitive restoration and a regenerative future.

When New Meets Old will feature Naree Phinyawatana, Director of Atelier Ten and Chum Jia Xin, Associate Director Architecture, Landscape and Urbanism of Henning Larsen.
